A Drawing A Day

Each drawing should be finished in a day. However you may have no more than 2 days leeway if this proves difficult. All drawings may be done as sketches and may be as loosely or a tightly drawn as the artist sees fit.

1. Draw something no bigger than 3 centimeters.
2. Draw a painting you like.
3. Draw something as it would look broken.
4. Draw a friend as an animal.
5. Make a drawing that joins two random body parts of yours.
6. Draw a photo of someone’s dead body.
7. Draw three household items joined into one object.
8. Draw something in your backyard.
9. Draw a tree you like.
10. Squish some fruit then draw it.
11. Make a contour drawing of anything, holding your pen or pencil with your mouth.
12. Close your eyes and draw a memory while keeping your eyes closed.
13. Close your eyes and then draw the first thing that popped into your head. Draw with your eyes open this time.
14. Draw someone from memory.
15. Draw the moon from sight.
16. Look at some clouds and draw something you see within the cloud. Do not draw the cloud itself.
17. Draw a spider. Draw one from a photograph if you can’t find one.
18. Draw one of your favorite toys. If you don’t have your favorite toy draw any toy.
19. Draw something three times from different angles and blend each perspective together.
20. Look at the stars and draw an image you see within the stars.
21. Spend some time looking for shapes in things around you. Draw ten shapes you like.
22. Draw your face without eyes, a nose or a mouth.
23. Close your eyes and imagine a bird. Draw the bird with your eyes closed.
24. Make a small comic illustrating a dream you’ve had before.
25. Draw a man as a woman or a woman as a man. You draw from photos.
26. Find a building near you and make a drawing of it altered so that it is futuristic.
27. Draw a car around you and alter it so that it is futuristic.
28. Draw someone you know as a robot.
29. Draw a planet other than earth from a photo.
30. Draw a portrait of a character out of a fairytale, a myth, a fable or a religious story.
